Von Hamm Shepherds is a small German Shepherd kennel located in the shadow of Oregon's spectacular Mt. Hood. But size only means that the number of dogs is limited - not the dedication and successes. This is a true "hobby kennel" where the love of dogs and the sport of showing makes all of the work seem more like play. Randy is a licensed AKC judge, kennel help and mid-wife and is active in several local dog clubs. Randy is currently the president of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Oregon. Always wanting to learn more about dogs, Randy is now starting a dog in Agility and after helping out at a number of herding trials, is going to have several of the dogs instinct tested as the first step towards getting involved in this performance venue.

   Partnering with Bedkar Shepherds of Ridgefield, WA, Von Hamm has enjoyed showing in both the US and, to a limited degree, in Canada, in both the All-Breed and Specialty rings. Winning Bests in Show in both All-Breed and Specialty Show and earning high National rankings has been wonderful. Sharing it with friends a true gift.

   Please take some time and visit our dogs - we wish you could share their cold noses in person, but visiting in cyberspace does mean you do not have to wear out your arm playing ball with them!
